Le Barcelos Restaurant on Prince Arthur  Street

I discovered this sauce at a portuguese Tapas bar on Prince Arthur street in Montreal, Le Barcelos Grillades Restaurant. (107 Prince-Arthur Est, Montréal; 514-845-5266). I loved the sauce so much that I purchased a big batch for my own personal use.

The easiest chicken recipe is this:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees
Thoroughly wash your chicken with water
Pat dry
Thoroughly wash your chicken with lemon juice
Liberally salt the bird (on all sides)
Massage the Piri Piri sauce into the chicken
Drop in a deep pan
Bake for 1.5 hours
Broil on high for 3-5 minutes to get a deeply charred skin

Serve with Grilled potatoes with rosemary (cubed potatoes, rosemary, olive oil, lemon, salt and pepper baked in the oven for 45 minutes

Your family will love this meal and there’s no way you can miss this recipe

p.s.: Free Range organic chicken works best but the end result will be the same with regular chicken
