My friend Marie-Claude Daoust got me a great book about cookies.
The book is called: Cookies Galore by Jacqueline Bellefontaine.
In this book, there’s a recipe for classic chocolate chip cookies.
The recipe is called Traditional Chocolate Chip Cookies.
4 ounces of chocolate chips (white and dark work best)
3/4 cups of butter
2/3 of a cup of sugar
1/2 a teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/3 cup flour
Preheat oven to 350
Blend all ingredients together
Create balls of dough (1 tbsp is ideal size but I like them uneven to accentuate the homemade feel
Put a baking sheet on a cooking tray and drop the balls of dough on the tray
Bake for 12-15 minutes.
My kids and hubby loved the cookies.

ps: if you’re wondering about the two tone, I dropped the vanilla in pretty much one location so some parts were darker. It’s prettier this way. Don’t you think!
