Da Pietro, Restaurant Review

Last night, I went to an Italian restaurant in Old Terrebonne on the north shore of Montreal.

Da Pietro’s is an old house which was renovated into a charming restaurant. It has kept all of the original moldings.
I ate veal scallopini alla Romanoff with an entree of breaded calamari. The calamari were overly breaded. The veal was cooked and seasoned to perfection. My husband ate veal scallopini alla parmigiana. Veal is definitely a house specialty. As a matter of fact, four people in our party had veal scallopini and gobbled it up with relish. The wine card is extensive. The service was courteous and warm.

The evening was followed by a show at Le Théâtre du Vieux Terrebonne

We went to see Patrick Huard’s new show “Le Bonheur”.

The show was extremely well written and hilarious from tip to tail.
Sugar Sammy’s show, which I saw the week before, was not as funny and certainly not as well researched.

Bottom line: Go see Patrick Huard’s new show, grab a bite to eat at Da Pietro’s and visit old Terrebonne. Watch Sugar Sammy at the Just for Laughs festival.
