Sangrita and Tequila: a Match Made in Heaven

A little tequila and Sangrita (salty tomato juice) at Chimes Singapore

At Chimes Singapore, a gorgeous establishment adjacent to a decorative mosque (it’s only for the look, not a real mosque), we tried a Mexican restaurant.
On my project, I have two Jorges. Both from Mexico. One of the Jorges ordered tequila and sangrita.
I had never had sangrita before. The sequence is a one-two-three process.

Step 1:
Drink the sangrita in one shot. It’s like a shot of salty tomato juice.

Step 2:
Drink the tequila in one shot. The tequila will go down smooth like velvet.

Step 3:
Bite into the lime.

Warning: Some of my team mates mixed alcohols afterwards and were a little under the weather.

ps: On the picture, you see sabrina and I with all the glasses consumed at the table (we only had two shots each) Cooksploratrice has a limited tolerance for alcohol so she drinks very little
